This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use Carers Hub, HNF’s digital platform connecting caregivers, care recipients, and families, and its related services (together, “the Portal”).

1.1 The terms “Carers Hub”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refer to the platform owned and operated by Home Nursing Foundation (HNF). The terms “you” or “your” refer to any person using or accessing Carers Hub.

 

1.2 The term “Personal Data” refers any data about an individual who can be identified from that data, or from that data and other information to which HNF has access. This includes personal data you provide and data collected through Carers Hub, such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, caregiving information, photos, and video images.

 

1.3 This Policy should be read together with the Carers Hub Terms of Use, which together explain your rights and responsibilities when using the Portal.

 

2. Scope of This Policy

2.1 This Policy applies to all Personal Data collected, used, disclosed, or processed by HNF through Carers Hub. By using Carers Hub, you consent to the collection and use of your Personal Data as described herein.

3.1 Through Carers Hub, we may collect the following types of information:

  1. Account information: username, password, email address, mobile number
  2. User profile data: age, gender, marital status, employment, postal code
  3. Caregiving-related information: details about the person you care for (e.g., primary condition caring for, level of care needs, relationship to the care recipient)
  4. Service usage data: activity logs, reviews, history
  5. Technical data: IP addresses, browser type, device information, usage analytics

 

4. How We Use Your Personal Data

4.1 We may use your Personal Data collected through Carers Hub to:

  1. Operate, maintain, and improve the Portal and its features
  2. Support your use of the Portal (e.g., notifications, reminders, personalised content)
  3. Send updates, newsletters, or events (with your consent)
  4. Provide information on events, conferences, seminars or workshops
  5. Process registration for events and/or services
  6. Process volunteer registration
  7. Process and administer received donations
  8. Respond to feedback and inquiries to improve our quality of service

6.1.1 Before we collect, use, or disclose your Personal Data through Carers’ Hub for purposes not listed in this Privacy Policy, we will further inform you of such purposes and obtain your consent. We will not collect more Personal Data than is necessary.

6.1.2 In some cases, consent may be deemed given if you voluntarily provide your Personal Data for a clearly stated purpose (e.g., applying to be a forum moderator).

 

6.2 Withdrawal of Consent

6.2.1 You may at any time withdraw your consent that you provided for the collection, use and disclosure of your Personal Data. You may withdraw consent and request us to cease using and/or disclosing your Personal Data for any or all the purposes above by submitting your request in writing or via email to our Data Protection Officer.

 

6.3 Access & Correction of Personal Data
